Statement at the End of the Edition

Statement

Continuation:

Over the 9 years of its operation, together with Barbora Tribulová we have managed to build a strong Črevo community across Slovakia and create an unforgettable, enriching and respectful atmosphere during the many events that took place as part of the individual editions. We greatly value the collaborations we established during this period with the SPP Foundation, OZ Free Food, Bezobalis, Merch you and Ipčko, and we also thank the platform’s long-term partners, the law firm Taylor Wessing and Europapier, for opening up new horizons. In every edition of the competition, we worked with male and female artists who were an important part of the team. The chairing role was taken in turn by Jaro Kyša, Jozef Tušan, Ivana Šáteková, Braňo Matis, Jana Kapelová, Dávid Koronczi, Radovan Dranga and Katarína Poliačiková. We also collaborated with Kristián Németh and Matúš Maťátko. On creating the exhibition, we worked with Braňo Matis, Andrea Ďurianová and Jana Báliková, as well as with jewellery designer Katarína Defeo Fiúza Siposová. At the same time, we also developed the visual identity of the competition through collaboration with graphic designer Ivana Palečková, Eva Benková and students from the Department of Visual Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava: Adrián Dvorský, Sofia Kuželová, Niki Stankeová, Emanuel Kováč and Samuel Čík. Unfortunately, the SNG is also losing partnerships with regional galleries—the Bratislava City Gallery, the Central Slovak Gallery in Banská Bystrica, the East Slovak Gallery in Košice—as well as international partnerships with the Czech platform Máš umělecké střevo?, the National Gallery Prague, the DOX Gallery, the Moravian Gallery in Brno and the Hungarian platform Van művészi vénád?, operating under the auspices of the Ludwig Museum and the Deák17 Gallery in Budapest. We would also like to thank the people from the SNG who ensured the professional installation of the works, especially Mário Matuchovič, as well as Mirka Hlaváčová, with whom we created the educational section Pondety z umenia on the competition themes, photographer Šimon Lupták, thanks to whom this period is wonderfully documented, and the other people who helped provide the events and the important little details that made up the living, functioning environment of Črevo.
